DK Klinik is a dermatology and cosmetology center operating in Antalya for 20 years under the Ministry of Health.
From the very moment you visit our clinic for the first time, we put your health at the forefront.
The Hippocratic Oath says:
‘’Primum non necere’’
This Latin expression meaning “ First, do no harm” is the fundamental philosophy of our clinic.
Regarding this:
- We use FDA or European Union (CE) approved products and procedures that have been proven to be reliable such as botox, fillers, mesotherapy, thread lifting. Besides, one of our top priorities is that the products we use are approved and licensed by the Ministry of Health of our country.
- We open the products in your presence to make you feel comfortable and confident.
- We do not recommend any procedures that we do not consider necessary. In case of your persistent request, we will provide detailed information about the possible risks before proceeding with the procedure.
- We do not sell care products in our clinic, both in order to avoid possible misunderstandings and because it is not permitted by the relevant legislation. We understand that different people need different brands and products to suit their skin type. Therefore, we do not consider it appropriate to recommend only certain brands or products to our patients.
- The founder of our clinic, dermatologist Meltem Šentürk, is one of the first experts in our country to receive the "Certificate of Dermato-Cosmetic Sciences" issued by the Vrije University in Belgium which is recognized and operates on international platforms. She is also an active member of such international associations as ISHRS and EADV.
- Dr. Meltem Şentürk transfers her knowledge and experience to the highly qualified cosmetologists who work in our institution and have all the certificates required in this field.
- Our employees undergo serious on-the-job training within 6 months after hiring.
- Thanks to continuous and regular training programs, the knowledge of our staff are constantly updated, and they can constantly follow the development of dermatology and cosmetology.
- In order to prevent unwanted results and to maintain the efficiency of the procedures at the highest level, we provide regular maintenance of the devices used in our clinic. In addition, almost all devices and equipment used are FDA approved and have been proven effective by international certification bodies.
- The procedures in our clinic are carried out under surgical sterilization conditions.
- We attach great importance to the confidentiality of patient information and ensure that patient information is stored on highly secure servers. In addition, we explain in detail the law on the protection of personal data to each person who contacts our clinic and obtains their consent for each procedure. In addition, we provide information about each procedure, how it goes, what results it brings, possible side effects, and further treatment processes, and only then we obtain the consent of the patients.
- Since the first day of our work, August 19, 2002, we track changes before each procedure and at each stage of the process, we constantly maintain visual and written records to ensure the maximum desired effect.
- In order to improve our work for the benefit of patients, we measure client satisfaction in accordance with international standards using appropriate questionnaires. We regularly evaluate the questionnaires and consider your feedback as an opportunity to improve the quality of our services. We constantly test ourselves using a secret client system developed by independent organizations. We try to fix the flaws in our work before you mention them.
Hygiene and Patient Safety Protocols at DK Klinik
In our clinic, patient safety and hygiene standards are strictly implemented according to CDC Sterilization Guidelines and WHO Sterilization Protocols. Our clinic is regularly inspected by the Ministry of Health.
The hygiene and safety protocols implemented in our clinic are as follows:
-
The clinic is cleaned daily by a "cleaning officer." Tables, stretchers, procedure rooms, and counters are thoroughly sanitized. For this purpose, anionic surface cleaning products that are not harmful to human health are used.
-
The stretchers where our patients lie are disinfected daily, and the stretcher covers are changed before each patient. In addition, the stretchers are disinfected at certain intervals.
-
All materials used, such as syringes, gauze, cannulas, punches for hair transplantation, non-surgical facelift threads, and filler materials, are opened and applied in a sterile manner and are single-use.
-
Ice cubes, made of surgical-grade stainless steel, are used to reduce pain during procedures and are covered with sterile plastic covers, which are replaced with new sterile covers after each procedure.
-
All surgical instruments are cleaned after each procedure using an autoclave with steam and surgical antiseptics.
-
The area where the procedure is performed is first cleaned mechanically (removing coarse dirt) and then disinfected with antiseptics. This two-step protocol reduces microbial load and minimizes the risk of infection.
-
UV Sterilization lamps are used at periodic intervals to minimize the general microbiological load of the environment in operation rooms.
-
After the procedure, antibiotic creams are applied, and patients are provided with a series of recommendations to ensure safe healing.
-
Gloves and aprons used during hair transplantation are sterile and single-use. Additionally, tweezers, micromotor tips for graft extraction, pen tips, and glass petri dishes used for separating grafts are also single-use. These items are discarded after each hair transplant, and new sterile products are opened for subsequent procedures.
-
A detailed blood test is conducted before the hair transplant to ensure patient safety. This includes screening for infection markers such as HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis A, as well as assessing the patient's blood clotting time. This is crucial because a low blood coagulation level increases the risk of bleeding and surgical complications.
Before the operation, the patient's blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation levels are measured. If the values are not within the safe range, the operation is postponed until the levels stabilize. If the issue persists, the procedure is canceled. - The donor area, from which the grafts are extracted, is bandaged to protect it from contact with unhygienic surfaces such as pillows and sofas. This reduces the risk of infection and helps control bleeding.
